We encountered several challenges due to the out-of-the-box (OOTB) platform and the need for localization. The five main challenges we faced and how we addressed them:

1. Understanding Local User Needs

Challenge: The initial OOTB platform was not tailored to the specific needs and behaviors of our local youth audience.

Solution: We conducted extensive workshops and user research sessions to gain deep insights into local user preferences, habits, and pain points. This understanding helped us customize the user experience to better align with local expectations.

2. Adapting the OOTB Platform

Challenge: The OOTB platform had limitations in flexibility and customization options.

Solution: We worked closely with the development team to identify and implement necessary modifications, ensuring the platform could support the desired high-speed accessibility and ease of use. This included optimizing performance and integrating local banking regulations and features.

3. Localization of Content and Features

Challenge: The OOTB platform’s content and features were generic and needed to be localized to resonate with our target audience.

Solution: We localized the language, cultural references, and financial products to match the local context. This involved translating content accurately and adapting features to comply with local financial norms and user expectations.

4. Ensuring Regulatory Compliance

Challenge: The OOTB platform was not fully compliant with local banking regulations and security standards.

Solution: We collaborated with legal and compliance teams to understand local regulatory requirements. We then worked with developers to integrate necessary security measures and ensure the platform met all local compliance standards.

5. Balancing Innovation with Usability

Challenge: Introducing innovative features while maintaining a simple and user-friendly interface was challenging on the OOTB platform.

Solution: Through iterative design and testing, we balanced new, engaging features with a straightforward user interface. We utilized user feedback to continually refine and simplify the experience, ensuring it remained intuitive for young users.
